ORCID invited its community to an online ORCID Community Town Hall, which took place on 25 March 2026.
Members of the ORCID leadership presented key achievements from 2025 and offered an early look at planned activities and developments for 2026. The meeting was held online and featured speakers from the ORCID senior leadership team, including Executive Director Chris Shillum. The program also included time for questions, feedback, and discussion with the community. The event was open to everyone interested in the development of the ORCID infrastructure, persistent identifiers, and their use in the research ecosystem.
