The recording of the first webinar in the ORCID series dedicated to research integrity is now available for viewing. This session focuses on publishers and the importance of high-quality metadata for research integrity. Publishers share their experiences with transitioning from reactive data correction to systematic error prevention. The presentation demonstrated how properly structured metadata safeguards the reputation of scholarly journals while streamlining and improving both the indexing and discoverability of articles in search services.
The second webinar in the series took place on June 2. This session focused on the perspective of institutions and libraries: poor or incomplete metadata complicates how institutions track research outputs, demonstrate compliance with grant conditions, and fulfill open access mandates. The webinar demonstrated how institutions can actively influence metadata quality during the internal reporting phase—long before a manuscript is submitted to a journal. As soon as the recording becomes available, a link will be posted on this page.
