ORCID has published its 2024 Annual Report. In the third year of implementing its From Vision to Value: ORCID’s 2022–2025 Strategic Plan, the organization continues to advance its vision of a connected research environment across disciplines, borders, and time. Progress in its five strategic areas confirms ORCID’s growing role as part of the global research infrastructure.
Key highlights from 2024 include:
- new Record Summaries and communications about the Community Trust Network and Trust Markers, helping to address issues of research integrity,
- the use of automation to improve data quality and reduce the effort needed to manage records — for example, through affiliation recommendations and validated email domains,
- development of the Global Participation Fund, including the launch of new consortia in Lebanon and Nigeria, and growth within the LATAM Regional Consortium.
