The DataCite community will convene in Prague on June 10, 2024 to discuss how we can collectively make the most of metadata. In the session, we will discuss the value of consistent, standardized, and complete metadata; provide insight into current metadata practices; hear from DataCite Members about metadata challenges they face; and also discuss how registered metadata is currently (re)used. The session will include several interactive components, such as break-out sessions to discuss different (upcoming) resource types. A detailed agenda will follow soon.
There will only be 40 spaces available so if you’re planning to attend PIDfest, please don’t hesitate and register now! This is an in-person event that will not be recorded or streamed. Slides of the speakers will be made available afterwards. There is a maximum capacity of 40 people for this event and registrations will be allocated on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. You can register now on the DataSite website.
This event is co-located with PIDfest, 11–13 June 2024, Prague, Czech Republic; hosted by the Czech National Library of Technology and the Australian Research Data Commons.
