Explore the critical role of open infrastructure in supporting research processes in a talk led by Gabi Mejias and Xiaoli Chen from registry agency DataCite, Shayn Smulyan and Susan Collins from registry agency Crossref, and Ana Cardoso from ORCID. Learn how organizations such as DataCite, ORCID and Crossref connect elements of the research ecosystem (authors, publications, grants, etc.) globally to ensure discoverability, unique identification, citation and interoperability. Get an overview of the importance of metadata for identifying these elements. Learn how to leverage metadata, persistent identifiers and open infrastructure to increase visibility and credibility.
